Hi!

Your Style looks really great! I especially like the min/max buttons and the transparency relief.

For the start button: How about a leaf thats viewed from the top, but slightly at an angle down? Maybe only with the contour of the leaf and no round orb? =)

good combinations of colors.
there are not good or bad ideas about start button.it depends what you, do you like , not us.
you can put a football, or an earth symbol or a square prototype. the thing is to find what do you like and after to make it looking good, that means dont make it too big or too small and also use good comination of colors. i think those, i told you will help you more than to say take this image or the other.
